Golf Carts

Golf carts/low speed vehicles may be operated in most of the residential areas of the City of Bay St. Louis.  While participating in parades approved by the city, golf carts/LSV’s may be operated on parade routes.  Failure to follow the steps required for golf carts/LSVs to be driven legally on a public street within the city limits may result in the operator receiving a traffic ticket. The cost of such violation is the same as if the infraction occurred while driving a car.  All golf carts and low speed vehicles registered in the City of Bay St. Louis must purchase a renewal sticker yearly beginning Oct. 1st of each year.  Renewal stickers must be placed in the lower left corner of the big registration sticker.  The renewal fee is $50.  Renewal stickers can be purchased from City Hall (688 Highway 90) between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. The City will also accept mailed renewal registration packets.

Each applicant will need to complete a new updated registration packet.  Applicants will need to provide the following items:

• Completed registration form
• Completed registration affidavit
• Provide a valid driver’s license
• Provide proof of current insurance for the golf cart or other low speed vehicle
