Some important items to remember when establishing a business in Bay St Louis. 

1. Contact the zoning department to make sure your business aligns with the proper zoning district.

2. Make sure you name the name of power and utilities in the new business name.  When turning on power and utilities into new business, an inspection is always requested by the Bay St Louis Building Department.

3. If something needs to be constructed as part of the business, submit construction plans to the Bay St Louis Building Department. 

4. When starting a new business, ensuring your business has the correct signage is important. Make sure you submit sign permit to the building department before purchasing or constructing a new sign a business.  To ensure it complies with the Bay St Louis Zoning Ordinance. 

5. Complete and submit a privilege license application to the building department before any business is commerce.
