Hancock County Facilities

Hancock County Government Annex
The new 29,000 square-foot facility, located on U.S. 90 across from Hancock Medical Center, should be ready for move in by late May. The new annex will have four entrances. Entrance 1 is Administration, Board of Supervisors, Planning & Zoning, E-911 addressing and the temporary office of the Veterans Service Officer. Entrance 2 is the Supervisor's Board Room. Entrance 3 is for the Chancery Land Records and other records. Entrance 4 is the Tax Collector/Assessor's office. The tax office also will offer drive-up service for customers. The Department of Heath and Human Services and the county agent's office will remain on Longfellow Avenue until their building is completed at the end of the year.

Dunbar Avenue Pier
Dunbar Avenue Pier, reconstructed in 2006, is a public site for pier fishing, crabbing and shrimping.  Pets, bicycles and skateboards are not allowed for the safety of the visitor and the maintenance of the pier.

Walking Track at Hancock Medical
The first Hancock County walking track is a half-mile course located on Highway 90 and Drinkwater Boulevard.  Exercise and warm-up equipment is available on site.

Washington Street Pier
Washington Street Pier is a pier and boat launch used by hundreds of recreational fishermen and boaters year round.  A paved parking lot for vehicles and their trailers is available at no charge.  There is no charge for use of the launch.  The pier and launch are located on property owned by American Legion Post 139 and has been developed through a mutual agreement with the County.

Cedar Point Boat Launch
Beach Boulevard boat launch is located on the northern end of Beach Boulevard at the mouth of the Jourdan River as it empties into the Bay of Saint Louis.  The launch and nearby parking for vehicles and trailers is offered at no charge to users.
